Good caregivers deserve good support.
CARELIA connects verified caregivers with families who need them, and handles the scheduling, communication and payments that usually get in the way.
Requirements
Who we are looking for.
- At least 18 years old and eligible to work in Rwanda
- Training or practical experience in caregiving, home-based care or nursing assistance
- Two references from previous employers, supervisors or families
- A criminal record certificate
- A mobile phone with WhatsApp
- Kinyarwanda, plus English, French or Kiswahili where possible
- Patience, reliability and respect for the people you care for
How you are paid
Every shift you complete is recorded when you check out. Your earnings are the hours worked at the service rate, including night, weekend and holiday surcharges, less CARELIA’s 20% commission.
Example: one weekday day shift in elderly care

Payouts go to your MTN MoMo or Airtel Money number. You can see every shift and payment in your caregiver portal.
The process
From application to your first assignment.

Apply online
Tell us about your experience, skills, languages, where you can work and when you are available. About ten minutes.

Upload your documents
National ID, training certificates, references and a criminal record certificate. Photos from your phone are fine.

Meet a coordinator
A conversation about your experience, how you handle common situations and the difference between caregiving and clinical care.

Get verified
Once your documents and interview are approved, your profile becomes active and can be matched with families.

Receive assignments
Accept or decline proposals, check in to shifts, write care notes and track your earnings from your phone.

Who can apply to become a caregiver?
Adults with caregiving experience or training, such as a certificate in home-based care, nursing assistance or a related field. We welcome applications from across Rwanda.
What documents do I need?
Your national ID, training certificates, two references and a criminal record certificate. You can upload them from your phone after applying.
How and when are caregivers paid?
Every completed shift is recorded automatically. Earnings are paid to your mobile money account, and you can see each shift, the amount and payment status in your caregiver portal.
